Yes, Introverts Are Adventurous: Unexpected Adventure Alert

Mountain adventure. Man overlooking beautiful lake and mountains.

Yes, introverts are adventurous even though they enjoy their own company sometimes. Behind the curtains, once they open up, you’ll spot the most interesting person you’ve ever met. Are you good friends with introverted people?

Then you know what I’m talking about. Of course, not everyone is adventurous, but that goes for extroverts too. Once you take the benefits of the outside world and you take what life is giving you, oh la la.

When you start living in a moment, because those things matter the most, that’s when you start living. All you need is to be confident, at least for a second, and to let go of yourself.

But how to meet people when you are an introvert and how to be adventurous, how to affect people’s lives? We will give you an example today.

In today’s article we will be talking about the confidence introverted people sometimes get. Let’s see what a crazy idea can introverts get as well. You might find a surprise below. Let’s check it out then.

Can Introverts Be Adventurous?

If we’re being honest, most introverts are stuck in their comfort zone. But you will find a certain amount of introverts that can be very adventurous. But of course, this goes for any character type.

Sometimes, you’re simply not up for fun. Your feelings don’t match your friends wishes and you are not up for anything adventurous. It is however very interesting that introverted kids show a more adventurous side than introverted adults.

You would, however, be very surprised when invited to an introvert’s adventure. If you think it’s silly, ask your introverted friends for the idea the next time you see them.

What Are Introverted Adventurous Activities?

Surely now you all think of things like bungee jumping activities, an adrenaline park, or some crazy competition, etc. But these things do not necessarily imply those adventures.

Adventure is going on an independent trip, going to do any activity alone, entering into conversation with new people, and other similar things.

These things are adventurous for introverts because they are not usually graced by these endeavors.

Let’s find out what kind of endeavors society interprets as the adventures of introverts. Below we bring you 3 adventures in which rare introverts get involved. It’s time to learn about them in detail.

Traveling: Do Introverts Like Travelling?

Rarely will extroverts dare to go on a trip alone, but introverts won’t have a problem with it. After all, think about it, a trip around the world, and you are alone. Sounds like an ideal time for introverts.

But actually, I’m not sure how it came to the conclusion that introverts are not adventurous types.

Introvertism and adventurism have nothing to do with each other. You will often see people on airplanes sitting alone or waiting their turn to buy a ticket.

Don’t think of them as lonely people. Think of them as people who have the courage to do things independently and enjoy their own time.

Starting Your Own Bussines/Own Company

It is much more common for an introverted person to venture into their own venture, such as starting a business. Introverts are easily exposed to pressure from the public and society.

Susan Cain, the famous TED talk speaker, points out exactly this pressure from society. Society expects you to do things that are good for society, not for yourself. Therefore, she herself had difficulties pursuing her real dreams.

She became a lawyer on Wall Street instead of a writer, which is what she really wanted. However, there will still be some introverts who will embark on the adventure of starting their own business.

Stepping Out Of Your Comfort Zone Anyhow

For introverts, small simple moments where they step out of their comfort zone will be adventurous. Sometimes it will be a conversation with new people.

Sometimes it will be going to a party on your own and giving yourself the opportunity to enjoy larger groups of people. But this should definitely not be done by people who have panic attacks or anxiety.

In large crowds, these things become a trigger for panic attacks. In any case, if you want to test yourself, go for it, but don’t go beyond your limits.

Find Your Own Adventure Introvert Side: Solo Adventures Time

And what about your adventurous side? Do you have things that you are afraid to do yourself because of society’s prejudices?

What solo activities have you been putting off for a long time? Maybe it’s time to think carefully and finally do them.

Go See That Movie Alone

You must have thought of taking yourself “on a date” at least once. But the thought of how people would look at you stopped you. How do I order a drink at the bar alone? How can I sit alone and have dinner?

How can I go to the cinema alone? Etc. When you stop thinking about societal pressure and how people will react, you will lead a happier life. People will always react, no matter what you do.

Forget the pressure of society and live life the way you want. Buy a ticket and watch the new movie yourself. In addition, buy yourself a large popcorn and a coca cola.

Sit In The Car And Drive Around If You Feel Like It

Have you ever had the idea to get into your car and drive aimlessly after a hard day? The next time you’re stressed or feel the need to vent, do it. Don’t think too much about whether it’s stupid, what your neighbors might think, etc.

Next time, turn the music up loud in your car, get in it, and drive around until you feel better. The time we spend quality time alone is half of our health. Give yourself an exhaust valve when you need one.

Give yourself a chance to clear your mind through some independent activity, whatever it may be. Don’t be afraid of society’s pressure, you are the most important thing to yourself.

Buy A Ticket And See The Whole World Alone

This is not something that introverts fear. Extroverts may be more afraid of alone time and traveling alone. When you are constantly in elite groups of people, you are used to company and support.

But what if you are alone? What happens then? Precisely for these reasons, give yourself a chance, at least once a year for independent travel. Well, it doesn’t have to be some exotic location.

Sometimes it’s the city closest to yours but visit it. Visit places or museums you haven’t seen before, drink a coffee on the pier, read a book on the shore, take a walk by the sea or the ocean, and breathe. When you give yourself such a boost, to clear your thoughts, the following days will go smoothly.

Open Up To New Experiences

We all naturally have a fear of the unknown. Sometimes it’s the fear of enrolling in a language course, and sometimes the fear of going to a dance class, playing an instrument, etc.

But there you will find many more people who have dared to go alone. And they also have a fear of the unknown.

You are certainly not the only person in the world who is afraid of going into something unknown on his own. When you relax and don’t let your fear rule you, you will go through life more easily.

Note Before The End

Next time before your fear overcomes you, think about this quote by Jessica Pan from our introvert quotes article:

“There’s a simplicity and a sense of adventure to being alone, and I sometimes envy you for having it, as you explore Paris. Even when you’re getting your heart broken, you can still wake up and not know what’s going to happen next.”

There is a whole world out there and it’s waiting for you. Use it, seek it, see it, travel it, explore it, and you’ll be much happier I promise. Don’t let your fear control you.

Yes Introverts Are Adventurous: Final Thoughts

Even if you didn’t see it coming, yes, introverts are adventurous too. Most of the time, they might be stuck in their comfort zone.

But sometimes, they’ll wish for an adventure as well. This sometimes happens when they meet new people and they get to know them better.

It is part of the making impressions circles and sometimes, just venting out. They do prefer quiet time and less talk, but the adventure isn’t off too. When you spend a certain amount of time with introverts, you’ll see that you were wrong.

They are also great travelers, and trips, they’re attracted to adrenaline challenges just as some extroverts.

I’m sure you thought their life habit isn’t like this, because they’re scared or simply hate adventures. Now you know what a lack of knowledge can create.

Then why do introverts love being alone? Maybe they’re off to their next adventure, all alone. Thanks for reading us curious folks and fellow introverts. See you soon!
